When i am a little older, i want to earn myself a pilot license. How much money would it take and how many months/years will it take?

At Buttonville Airport in Canada you can get your Solo or Rec license for ~$6,000. Your private pilot’s license costs around $10,000. Commercial pilot’s license costs around $12,000. The commercial requires you to have a private license, but you can get your private license without any of the previous two. On top of that it costs several thousands of dollars to get your instrument rating, your night time rating, your multiple engine rating etc.

For a private pilots license (about a year) – between $8,000 and $10,000
For a commerical pilots license (about 2 years to 3 years) – anywhere between $20,000 to $80,000 (depending on whether you take a training course or not.
For a airline transport pilots license (anywhere from one year to four years or above) – between $18,000 and $45,000
Generally, to go all the way and become an airline pilot it is anywhere between $46,000 and $135,000. That depends on how qualified you want to become, and how much chance you want to have at being employed. It generally costs about $90,000 all together, and take about 5 years in total.
You really have to love flying to do it, and it depends if you want to make a career in flying or not.
