Try going to their web sites and look at investor relations. Some companies will post their quarterly reports.

Enough that tobacco companies can afford lobbyists to keep the government from banning tobacco for health reasons.

TOO much dirty money, since they know they are killing people. They will be making more $$$ soon since they added more additives to the ciggarettes, making people more addicted to them.

A LOT OF MONEY…
Altria, mothership of the Phillip Morris company, pulled in $101,000,000,000 (that’s $101 billion) in revenue last year – 2006. From the NYSE they are estimated to have a market capitalization of $$177.92 Billion!!!!
And then thing about how much business they conduct with other companies too. Advertising, lawyers, public relations, drug companies, health and research studies, more lawyers, all the medical bills that gather up from anyone who suffers from the the effects of smoking…
